Just want to give a heads up on changes that are taking place on my site. For now, I will not be giving any more "Thoughts" on poems I post from this point on; until otherwise decided. Nor, will I include my thoughts on Bible passages I reference. Reason being, I have ran across a few passages in the Bible that prompts me to investigate further before doing anything else besides just post my heart felt poems. Passages are the following:
"Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence." (1 Timothy 2:11-12. NKJV).
"Let your woman keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive , as law also says." (1 Corinthians 14:34. NKJV).
"But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; the older women likewise; that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things--that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed." (Titus 2:1-5. NKJV).
My original objective was to express the grace of God on my life and the knowing of Jesus Christ in my life and the changes I have gone through in the process of becoming a maturing Christian. It has never been my objective to teach anyone; heck, I'm still learning as a Christian myself. But, baring my soul in giving my thoughts on the subject of my poems and in passages I posted I'm afraid that I may have appeared or come off as teaching; which was not and is not my objective with this blog site. Until I study the whole chapters, prior and after and within the above mentioned passages, in context of what they mean I am putting a holt to my thoughts. Which, it may be some time before deciding where I will go from here as I will also be inquiring to their meaning in asking Pastors and Deacons for help on understanding their meaning.
In addition, I am afraid my Bio Book is going to take a bit longer than by the end of this year or first of next year as a few things need to happen in my life that I would like to include in my book. Meantime, I am working on a poem book that will include my all time Favorites of all the poems I wrote; including the ones I posted that are not yet in a book. I will make an announcement of this Faves book when it gets close to being published. I will continue in my effort of telling how good God has been to me and in the excitement of knowing Jesus Christ by still posting poems from my heart here on this site; however, for now, I will not be giving thoughts on these, nor on any Bible passages I post. - Doris Elaine
