Rejected by Others For in life my sisters and brothers As to my being they denied Because I was rejected by others Judged so harshly by all the mothers That I just wanted to run and hide From life and my sisters and brothers A mustard seed that was grandmother Given me became a light and guide Because I was rejected by others A treasure in disguise became my hope Placed around my neck as a child I grew in hope in life to cope For big and firm the seed beguiled But I lost it in life due the rejection Then my hope returned as I smiled Christians friended me and gave affection Became in life my brothers and sisters Helping me see my true reflection Because I was rejected by others ©Doris Elaine
