Transparency: A Virtue Pretenders hide their goal to hurt you Where some pretend to be what they are not But true transparency is a virtue So many play games; their purpose sought Deception being a tool in winning Until it seen through and one is caught Relationship lost; the one is grinning Walking away with no hurt feelings For the game was theirs from the beginning While the other spends time in healings For as was thought this one was real Time in recovery from the bad dealings Hope in finding one that is the real deal Remaining real to self and others to see For real you've been to one's appeal When real to self morals become key Though pretenders hide their goal to hurt you Your ethics keep as you do agree True transparency becomes a virtue         ©Doris Elaine Thoughts : Today moral and ethical standards in presentation of one's self is becoming more and more rare.
