The Skill and Strength of Love
Truth be told, this world money talks
People are taught this from young
Raised under this skill, love soon walks
To one, love of money is then sung
Where one is given the skill of struggle
In survival, one is taught strong
For love of money, there no juggle
In the skill of survival, love there last long
Let the skill of money fell one this world
How fast one soon forgets how to love
For then a struggle is then hurled
And love then becomes void of
Just because of money, one cannot give
What one can teach, the skill of love
Then when money fells, one soon can forgive
One gave the strength of love, that to be proud of!

Thoughts: For all the struggling parents, rather single or coupled, just because you may not be able to give much this year in this holiday season, don't get depressed because you are giving more then this world can. So many parents that can give, give , give to their children are giving in material things and forgetting to give the most valuable thing one can give; that's True Love, not the love of money. Parents that struggle to raise their children, the children may not see it now, but once grown, believe me, they will come to you and let you know thank you for the strength of your Love. They will know how strong you truly are and will give back to you the Love you gave in recognition and gratitude for your strength and the skill of love you taught them. Not in praising you for what you could have or not provided for them. Pat yourself on the back, you are giving more in the skill and strength of Love than the love of money ever can; unconditional Love. Know, Jesus loves unconditionally!!

A Thanksgiving Poem
This form is Acrostic. It spells out something diagonally on the left side of each line. Here an Acrostic Poem for the season.
Thanksgiving, The Way
Thankful for the life I live
Happy to have another day
Anxious for nothing as I thrive
Noting the blessings here to stay
Kindness being that to give
Sympathy for us to display
Grateful I learned to forgive
In making this day, thanks a way
Victory in knowing can survive
Inviting others without delay
Noting the thanks this day to give
Giving in blessings, because that's the way
©Doris Elaine
In giving thanks. don't forget to also give! And, giving doesn’t always mean material giving!

A Poem Form For Thanksgiving
This form is Acrostic. It spells out something diagonally on the left side of each line. This form is a bit of a challenge to create in a rhyming poem. More of a challenge is a Double Acrostic, where in addition to left side is the spelling out on the right side in sequence after the left side. Haven't tried this yet. But here an Acrostic Poem for the season.
Thankful As...
Thankful as my life be
Happy to have life to give
A blessing in giving to thee
Nurturing other's life to live
Kindness always being key
Forming thankfulness to believe
Uniting in time as happy as glee
Laughter being a gift to receive
Always thankful the grace you see
Special as the life you gave, us to live

A Poem for Thought
Consequences of Worldly Conformity!
Its all about giving face to draw attention
Or maybe following others in universality
To oneself this demeanor then their extension
Others delight when one partakes their enormity
Although, inside the spirit develops apprehension
As one fakes the delight in this self-deformity
For one's spirit rises in this awkward dissension
As in the world one did give-in to this uniformity
For as one partakes of worldly things to draw attention
One suffers in the consequences of worldly conformity!
©Doris Elaine
Thoughts: It is easy to follow the ideas of others of how one is supposed to be in this world; especially when its attention one seeks. But, to do so can additionally have suffering consequences to one's soul when one knows it is not right, nor their way of being as a Christian. The Bible says "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the father but is of the world" (1 John 15-16, NKJV). Christians are to be in the world; but, not of the world. When one is of the world out of trying to fit in, one's soul suffers. Please read, 1 Peter 2:11.

A Re-post Poem
Prayers for Our Nation’s Leaders in Command
For our nation’s leaders in commandWe only and must have prayedAs Christians it has been plannedNo matter how much they erred
Into pray one then is tearedFor if we really must standIt’s praying that is made clearedFor our nation’s leaders in command
One must obey and baresAs has been declaredTo give leaders what is theirsNo matter how much they erred
With God we never fearedSpeaking to Him in making our standOur place now given not afraidFor our nation’s leaders in command
To live in this nation God commandAs citizens to our leaders we adheredTo their protecting civil commandNo matter how much they erred
As God finds you to have prayedThat to be where you made your standNo matter how much they erredFor our nation’s leaders in command ©Doris Elaine
Thoughts: We must and can only pray for our nation’s leaders no matter who they are or where we are. Remembering, God is in charge, He made the nations and established them; Acts 17:26. Our creator of all things will take care of them in His own time and way. We are to pray for our civil governance and respect them for their protection and security. Christians are to do our best, to be subjective and seek peace with our government; 1 Timothy 2: 1-2. Even Jesus obeyed civil governance, not breaking not one rule of, the then, civil governance; no not even upon being arrested and led to the cross, all the way until His death. Him and His disciples even paid taxes as was commanded; Matthew 22: 17-21, Romans 13: 5-7. However, we are to stand on God’s given governance of morality and our freedom to pray and worship to our Heavenly KING. We pray!
For our nation’s leaders in command
We only and must have prayed
As Christians it has been planned
No matter how much they erred
Into pray one then is teared
For if we really must stand
It’s praying that is made cleared
For our nation’s leaders in command
One must obey and bares
As has been declared
To give leaders what is theirs
No matter how much they erred
With God we never feared
Speaking to Him in making our stand
Our place now given not afraid
For our nation’s leaders in command
To live in this nation God command
As citizens to our leaders we adhered
To their protecting civil command
No matter how much they erred
As God finds you to have prayed
That to be where you made your stand
No matter how much they erred
For our nation’s leaders in command

A Poem for Thought
Stop Complaining And Try Moving Forward
Sometimes life can have one bothered
One cries and complains in these times
Stop complaining and try moving forward
Complaints can only bring disorder
As people makes this as lifetimes
Because sometimes life has some bothered
When others complain, move onward
Leaving that displeasure as their pastimes
As you, stop complaining and try moving forward
Stress complaining causes, does carry forward
If allowed in your life as its primes
As sometimes life can have one bothered
Making one grouchy, that's straightforward
As life does have its challenges sometimes
Just, stop complaining and try moving forward
When one complains, it generates toward
Disappointments in life as oftentimes
As sometimes life can have one bothered
Stop complaining and try moving forward

1 Corinthians 10:9-10 "nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and where destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and where destroyed by the destroyer." (NKJV).
Philippians 2:14-15 "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the mist of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world," (NKJV).

Songs of Old with great meaning!
Here are two of John Denver songs that I believe have great meaning to Christianity and Poems. They are old, but still hold great meaning. He was, what I think, one of genuinely greatest down to earth song writer musician. As they are old, excuse the graphics, but, please listen to the words.
Please watch as they touched my heart!
