Just A Poem For Thought


I wrote this poem May 11, 2019 in thought of how temporary our life here and the joy of knowing life exist after life here.
This poem being a form of Villanelle, however, line length requirement of 8-10 syllables does not apply here. But, notice rhyming does!


I'm Just A Visitor Here


Am here as a sightseer
Placed where I don't belong
I'm just a visitor here

However, this place I do endear
But, know I want be here long
Am here as a sightseer

Not long before I disappear
Must learn to be strong
I'm just a visitor here

To me it's perfectly clear
Temporary in thoughts not wrong
Am here as a sightseer

However, this place I need not fear
For God is by my side all lifelong
I'm just a visitor here

To Him I will return with cheer
Where I sing my joy in a song
Am here as a sightseer
I'm just a visitor here
