Standing by His Word
His teaching is the authority heard
As the only one I do trust
Thus to this I'm standing by His word
When direction does become blurred
In clearing my path His word I entrust
As His teaching is the authority heard
For in this world God's guidance preferred
Knowing that His is greatly just
Thus to this I'm standing by His word
His jurisdiction is where it began
As He spoke this place was made
And to it's end He has a plan
To my salvation His word is laid
I only need to learn of His teaching
Even when in this world I have strayed
For His word is greatly far reaching
His teaching is the authority heard
To my soul His directives beseeching
Thus to this I'm standing by His word

Thoughts: God's word is the standing authority of this world He created. In good times and hard times His teaching brought by Himself and through His son is the teaching I trust. "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father told Me, so I speak" (John 12:49-50. NKJV). We all stand on some kind of authority, even if our own. But, God is the soul authority; thus, I am standing by His word.
