It Only Takes One
When in life one friend is better than none
With one you know to life you are okay
As in realizing it only takes one
Although rough when the bonding begun
You are both still together to this day
When in life one friend is better than none
For it seems fulfillment in life is done
When to this the Lord you did pray
As in realizing it only takes one
The one lifts you with words of hope
Making life bearable when it seems hard
Giving you strength in life to cope
This care can sometimes catch you off guard
As you thought no one even cared
Especially when life has left you marred
Thankful to God the day you became paired
When in life one friend is better than none
For in life your loving care is then shared

Thoughts: Sometimes one friend is all one may need in life to lift one up when one has none. Sure, one can have family or relatives that care; but, it is not the same as a friend outside of this care. And, some people have no one that cares. It's hard to share care and love when one is not receiving it themselves from a true and dear friend. Be a friend to someone and share the care and love as sometimes, it only takes one!
