A Poem of Thought

 You I Can Count On


When my hope slips away and is gone
Looking to others is not my solution
I know You Lord I can count on

I pray, lay down as I await for dawn
Knowing You will bring a resolution
When my hope slips away and is gone

In my thoughts hope then becomes redrawn
As You give to my pain retribution
For I know Lord You I can count on

Although sad due where the pain did come
I know with You my heart is protected
As You give me strength to overcome

Giving to others my heart was infected
Then You showed me to You I belong
As You saw what others rejected

My place with You is then made strong
When my hope slips away and is gone
For I knew my hope in You was never wrong
As I know Lord You I can count on

Thoughts: Loosing hope in this mixed up world we now live is almost inevitable; especially when we place our hope in others, rather than in the Lord. The Lord sees our hearts and our potential when others just can't see that deep into our souls. He never rejects our being as others may. Our hope as Christians should always be in the Lord, knowing in Him we can count on!

Two poems preview for "Growing Strong in The Lord - part one"

  Here two more preview poems from my Growing Strong in The Lord Collection. These are from where I left off in my Part One previews. I will be mostly posting preview poems, as promised, from my published books. Rarely will you see a new poem here on this site. These two poems from my Growing Strong in The Lord- Part One, "I Am Sowed By God's Words" , came out of knowing God was with me during an impact with my car and a full grown and huge doe deer.
