Hi guys, I know I haven’t been very active here, but there’s a good reason. I’m in transition to a new to me logging site. Sense the domain hooked to this site does not run out for some months you will on occasion see a post here. To check out my new blog go to my author’s site link below. bydoriselaine.com
Hi Guys,
This is the last poem and poem form in The Rhyme It Out Project!, Part One. It is one of my favorites as it is a rhyming form. And, it is one of the forms I combined in developing my own form.
“V” Villanelle – "Rhyming Form, I defend, Just in Time"
“V” Villanelle
The villanelle is
French form, like most other French poems, incorporates a strict rhyme scheme
and repetition. The villanelle is a quadratic poem that is five tercets
consisting of line lengths of 8-10 syllables. The first and third lines of the
first stanza become refrains that repeat throughout the poem.

Rhyming Form, I defend, Just in Time
This being the last form of poems that rhyme
Where the journey comes to an end
Finishing this rhyming project just in time
Hoping the point made as they chime
That rhyming poems can become the trend
This being the last form of poems that rhyme
Perfect this poem for rhyming as its prime
For the tone in message it does send
Finishing this rhyming project just in time
How easy rhyming poems can become in-time
In giving them consideration, I defend
This being the last form of poems that rhyme
Hope this journey of rhymes did chime
Giving thought in rhyming poems as a trend
Finishing this rhyming project just in time
Had fun in this journey of poems that rhyme
But now it all must come to an end
This being the last form of poems that rhyme
